Review of The Ancient Lawman by Ian David Noakes

I have to say that Ian David Noakes is gaining a fan in me. This is the second book of his I have read, have loved both of them.

This book starts out in 1656, with a lawman that is executioner of the guilty. His means are very much filled with gore. He has a special way of knowing who the guilty are.

Then the books moves on to present day and FBI agent Lucinda Ackerman, who is transporting a convict to death row when a terrible accident happens. During this episode something terrible is unleashed into the town of Tinkerhill Falls and the killings and stalkings begin. Can Lucinda figure out who is doing the killings and stop him?

I really enjoyed this book. It held my attention throughout and was filled with gore and tension. I only had one disappointment, poor Foster, was hoping things would be different for him. 😦 Guess you will have to read to find out what that was.

I was given a copy of this book from the author to read and review. Big thanks to Ian for letting me read this.

5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended!
